WE ALL WANT TO THANK BARB AND MARK BROWN FOR A VERY MEMORABLE REUNION
Huntsville, Alabama Reunion — October 13th to October 17th, 2025
We had 27 attending here this year. Rolf & Monika Stute, Thorpe & MaryEllen McConville, Ray & Sue Jones, Wayne & Helen Brock, Laine, Dave & Kathie Sherman, Jerry & Jackie Volf, Bill & Marie Fischer, Scott & Rita Gudorf, Cheryl Jackson, Gerri Amann, Annie & Volker Gaertke came from Berlin, Hosts Mark & Barb Brown, and Emily Emmons & Laura Thompson…neither have been to a reunion since Charleston in 2002. Emily lives in South Carolina & Laura in Michigan plus margo & Bob.
As you might imagine, our Hospitality room has been really busy each night. There are a couple of walking paths around fountains just out the door of the hotel.
Many have toured the Space Center. Some of us went to the 118 acre Botanical Garden and some of our group went to the Brown’s home to check out Mark’s magnificent backyard Garden train set up.
People really enjoyed the Meet & Greet and we invited some young service men to join us in our Hospitality room. Mary Ellen had met them as they were checking in. They were all in uniform, at that time, and she walked up to them and said “I never could resist a man in uniform”. 😁😁
We met up with them just outside the room where we had our Meet & Greet as they came over to chat with Thorpe & Mary Ellen. They moved in an extra table we needed and we invited them to join us after in our Hospitality Room.
The Farewell dinner was at the Curio hotel and it was delicious. We went to the restaurant after after having drinks on the rooftop and enjoying the views of the city.
After dinner we presented the Browns a Thank you card and a momento book of Alabama which we had all signed.
Bob then spoke of plans for the 2026 reunion to be held in Niagara on the Lake, Ontario, Canada. It will be our 25th & last formal reunion with an official host.
